Oatmeal Porridge Bread Rolls

Baking on a Sunday morning puts me in a good mood so I decided to try these Oatmeal Porridge Bread Rolls, recipe courtesy of a Swedish food blogger, Louise Rudwall.

Porridge

200ml water

100ml porridge oats

50 gr butter

2 tbsp golden syrup

2 tsp salt

200 ml milk

25 gr fresh yeast

500 gr strong white flour


First we need to make the porridge. Let this boil and lower temperature and let cook for a few minutes once done, add the butter, syrup and salt.

Add the milk and the yeast and make sure yeast is fully dissolved.

Then add the flour and mix well to a dough.

Let the dough rise for 40 minutes.

When risen, make 10 rolls but do not knead the dough.

Spray with water and add some oats to garnish and then bake in a 225C degree oven for 10-12 minutes!

Let the rolls cool.

Try your first roll while they are still warm so the butter melts!
